Shoutout LA | Meet Fanny Marcus | MyAleph CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Fanny Marcus and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fanny, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
MyAleph was born from my passion for combining fashion with meaningful, protective elements. I wanted to create a brand that not only embodies luxury but also serves a purpose—allowing people to carry a piece of energy with them. I envisioned MyAleph as more than just a jewelry line; it’s about style, personal expression, and harnessing the power of semi-precious gemstones for protection and positive energy. The process was driven by my desire to create something that felt both luxurious and personal.

What should our readers know about your business?
MyAleph is a luxury jewelry brand that merges fashion with purpose. What sets us apart is the combination of high-end design with the energy and symbolism of semi-precious gemstones and protective charms, such as the evil eye. Each piece is more than just an accessory—it’s a statement of style, protection, and personal expression. I am incredibly proud of how our brand resonates with people, offering them not only something beautiful but also meaningful. What excites me the most is seeing how MyAleph empowers individuals to wear pieces that speak to their individuality while also providing a sense of fashion, protection and connection to positive energy.

The journey has been far from easy, but it has been incredibly rewarding. Like any entrepreneurial venture, there were moments of uncertainty, especially in navigating the jewelry market where competition is fierce. The challenge has always been to stay true to MyAleph’s vision, even when external pressures or trends would push us in other directions. Building a brand that reflects both beauty and meaning takes time, patience, and resilience. There have been ups and downs, but I’ve always been driven by a clear passion for what MyAleph stands for. That focus has helped me overcome challenges and build something that I’m incredibly proud of.

Overcoming challenges has been a process of adaptability and perseverance. I invested in learning from every setback and used those experiences to grow stronger. Surrounding myself with the right team, staying connected with my community, and being open to feedback were all key. Most importantly, I remained true to the brand’s core—creating pieces with soul and meaning that people would cherish. That kept me going, even when things felt uncertain.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of staying authentic. It’s tempting to chase trends, but I’ve realized that staying true to the essence of MyAleph is what draws people in. Another key lesson is that growth takes time—it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Building something meaningful requires patience and persistence. Lastly, I’ve learned the value of community. Listening to my customers, hearing their stories, and understanding their needs has shaped MyAleph in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

I want the world to know that MyAleph is more than just jewelry—it’s about connection, protection, and empowerment. Every piece is designed with intention, blending luxury with purpose. Our designs reflect a desire to create something timeless that resonates on a deeper level. Personally, I’m passionate about making people feel confident, stylish, and supported by the energy of the gemstones and charms they wear. MyAleph is the story of merging fashion with meaning, and I want people to carry that with them, knowing they are wearing something made with care and thoughtfulness.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I’d want to show them a mix of the luxurious, the laid-back, and the iconic spots that make this area special. Here’s what the perfect week would look like:

Day 1 – Welcome and Relaxation
We’d start with a relaxing morning at Malibu Farm for breakfast. Nothing beats the ocean views and fresh, healthy dishes there. Then, we’d spend the day unwinding on Carbon Beach or visiting the beautiful Getty Villa for a little culture and art appreciation. Dinner would be at Nobu Malibu—delicious food and unbeatable sunset views.

Day 2 – Beverly Hills Luxe
We’d spend the day exploring Rodeo Drive for a luxury shopping experience, stopping for a fabulous lunch at The Ivy—a true LA classic. In the afternoon, a visit to Greystone Mansion to stroll through the gardens, and for dinner, we’d head to Spago for an iconic Beverly Hills dining experience.

Day 3 – Hollywood Glamour
A trip to LA wouldn’t be complete without seeing the sights of Hollywood. We’d start the day hiking Runyon Canyon for some great views and an early morning workout, followed by lunch at Granville. In the afternoon, we’d visit the Hollywood Walk of Fame and TCL Chinese Theatre. For the evening, cocktails at The Tower Bar and dinner at Catch LA—one of my favorite spots for a stylish, Hollywood vibe.

Day 4 – Arts & Culture
We’d spend the day exploring LACMA and its nearby La Brea Tar Pits, followed by a stop at The Broad museum downtown for contemporary art lovers. For dinner, we’d head over to Bestia—a local favorite for Italian cuisine in a cool, urban setting.

Day 5 – Santa Monica and Venice Beach Vibes
The day would start with a bike ride along the Santa Monica Pier and the Venice Beach Boardwalk. We’d explore the quirky shops and street art, followed by lunch at Gjelina in Venice for farm-to-table deliciousness. The evening would be spent at The Bungalow for drinks with a beachside vibe.

Day 6 – Wellness & Pampering
We’d take a wellness day, starting with yoga at YogaWorks and then head for a spa day at The Beverly Hills Hotel Spa—because no trip to LA is complete without a little pampering. Afterward, we’d stop by Alfred Coffee on Melrose for a coffee break, and in the evening, we’d have dinner at E.P. & L.P., which has both great food and an incredible rooftop bar.

Day 7 – The Grand Finale
For the final day, I’d take them on a wine-tasting day trip to Malibu Wines or a tour of the nearby Santa Ynez Valley. We’d end the trip with a dinner to remember at Mastro’s Ocean Club in Malibu, right by the water.
